Robert F. Secco

Born in 1963 in Antigonish Nova Scotia in a family of six children. Spending his youth in
Antigonish interspersing studies with sports. Hockey and instructing Tennis were main interests.
Attended St. F. X. University in 1981 before moving to attend UWO in London, ON in 1983
in Earth Sciences.

While working during UWO enrollment Rob gained first hand business and construction
knowledge in the field and office environments.

In 1987 Rob opened Summer Deck Industries constructing residential custom designed decks
and fencing systems in Southwestern Ontario. Summer Deck Industries’ design and work has
been featured in the London Free Press and Ontario Living Magazine. Summer Deck Industries
continues to perform custom decks 22 years later!

In 1991 SDI Builders Ltd. was formed to construct and accommodate a demand for Commercial
and Institutional and Industrial projects.

As President and Owner of SDI Builders Ltd. Rob has made charities a focus in assisting
individual needs whether it be a donation of a wheelchair ramp, renovations to office spaces,
assistance through funding programs and donation of time.

Charities supported by SDI Builders Ltd include: Epilepsy Support Centre, Big Sisters of
London, LHSC, Canadian Cancer Society, Mission Services, Salvation Army, University
Health Network and Youth Opportunities Unlimited.

In 2003 Rob was elected to the Board of Directors with the Better Business Bureau of Western
Ontario. Currently sitting Chair of the Membership Committee as well as on the Finance
and Executive Committees.

Rob is currently working directly with Dale Brain Injury Services Inc. in developing and constructing
a 20 Unit apartment building for Acquired Brain Injury victims to live independently.
This building will be funded through the Affordable Housing Program that is funded
through all levels of Government including the City of London, Provincial and Federal Governments.
