Thames Outdoor Pool & Bathouse

The revitalization of the pool and bathhouse is an ongoing project on Talbot Street. The project is scheduled to be completed for the 2010 season after over twelve months of construction. The project involved the complete removal of the existing lap pool and diving pool on the site as well as renovations and upgrades to the existing bathhouse and replacement of the pool equipment. The new pool will be a heated 50M eight lane pool with diving platforms. There is  secondary areas that are a splash pad and a water slide. One of the major goals of this project was to address the existing barriers of use for persons with disabilities as outlined in the City of London's accessability plan. The new pool has a shallow water entry and the bathhouse has recieved renovations and upgrades to make it barrier free. The existing pool was almost 40 years old and was in need on renewal.
